Commissions Terms & Conditions

Thank you SO VERY MUCH for commissioning me! I look forward to working with you to create a piece that you love! <3 Please take some time to read and accept these terms outlined below before agreeing to proceed with any and all commissioned work orders! Thanks, & I'm happy you're here! <3> TURN-AROUND TIMES WILL VARY depending on my own personal & work schedules, but IN GENERAL, this is ESTIMATED BETWEEN 1 TO 3 WEEKS!
I will keep in contact with you regarding the progress of your commission during each phase listed here:
1) Sketch (the LAST POINT wherein any major changes can be requested!)
2) Lining & basic coloring (LAST POINT wherein any remaining changes can be requested!)
3) Shading, final rendering, & last-minute very minor touch-ups (NO CHANGES TO OVERALL DESIGN IDEA ALLOWED BY THIS POINT!)
4) Sending of the final product's digital image files -- one higher-resolution .PNG file for personal printing use ONLY, and one lower-resolution .JPEG file to share on social media to the client. (Please don't forget to credit me @winterhartarts if you share your commission around!! Thank you!)>> For these reasons, PLEASE provide a contact option (Ko-Fi, Twitter, Instagram, email) with your commission order THAT YOU CHECK REGULARLY!If I do not hear back from you within a few days of my sending you an update or check-in, I will NOT continue with your commission until you respond!IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND AT ALL WITHIN THE WEEK (7 days total) OF MY REACHING OUT TO YOU REGARDING YOUR ORDER, YOUR COMMISSION ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED. REFUNDS IN THE INSTANCE OF THIS TYPE OF CANCELLATION WILL ONLY BE PROVIDED RELATIVE TO THE STAGE IN WHICH THE COMMISSION WAS IN WHEN CANCELLED.>>> Please note that ALL COMMISSIONS REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT UP FRONT (via my Ko-Fi!!!), and that I DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON ONCE WE'VE FULLY AGREED UPON THE NATURE OF THE REQUESTED WORK! This will be better explained in more detail below.Below are some examples & further explanations of how cancelled commissions are handled!- If you cancel and ask for a refund in the SKETCH PHASE:
You will receive a refund of 80% TOTAL COST of the commission itself. This is because I've already spent some dedicated time to plan and sketch out your commission!
- If you cancel and ask for a refund in the LINING & BASIC COLORING PHASE:
You will receive a refund of 50% TOTAL COST of the commission itself. This is because by this point, I've already spent significant amounts of time and energy in cleaning up the piece, lining it, & coloring it!
- YOU CANNOT CANCEL AND ASK FOR A REFUND PAST THIS POINT!
This is because we are in the final stages of completing the commission, and as a result, I've spent EVEN MORE energy, time, and effort in getting the piece finished!****Please note as well that ALL COMMISSIONED WORKS DONE BY ME FOR THE CLIENT ARE FOR THE CLIENT'S PERSONAL USE ONLY, AND NOT TO BE USED IN ANY COMMERCIAL CAPACITY. ****
Please do not purchase a commission from me with the intent to mass-produce or drop-ship items using my artwork on it! These commissioned works are for your personal use ONLY (i.e. sharing on social media with proper credit to me as the artist, or printing at home to put in your personal art collection or up on your walls as a personal poster/print).
In relation to this point, I DO NOT ACCEPT NFT COMMISSIONS OF ANY TYPE/KIND FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, NOR DO I ALLOW THE USAGE OF MY PERSONAL ARTWORK IN THE FORM OF NFTS. Go elsewhere if you wish to seek out NFT/crypto-supported artwork, because you will find none of that here, and no, this will NOT change.>>>> Every commission ordered MUST come with AT LEAST ONE REFERENCE IMAGE! This can be a photo or a digital image (.PNG & .JPEG preferred, but whatever you have available is acceptable as well!), so long as you give me AT LEAST ONE to work with!
If you don't have a reference image/photo for me to help me along with the planning of your commission, please CONTACT ME PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR ORDER so we can discuss your options! This will ensure that not only will you receive a finished product you're satisfied with, but that I can in turn help create said finished product in the best way possible for you!THINGS I WILL DO ART OF:

* Simplified robot/mech/mecha characters! (Just not too detailed!)
* Basic landscapes/landscape ideas
* Couples/throuples/small groups of characters in one piece!
* Cute romantic & platonic stuff! (Dates, hangouts, snuggles, etc.!)
* Basic fictional insignias! (Think Grey Wardens crest, Kirkwall insignia, DA Inquisition insignia, Alliance Navy, Cerberus, etc.!)
* Your OCs!
* Your stories & fanfics!
* Aesthetic-inspired pieces! (Think lofi, sleepy, twilight hours, gothic, etc.!)WHAT I WILL NOT DO ART OF UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:
- Anything NSFW, porn, or stuff involving sexytimes. (My anatomy skills aren't here yet!)
- Mechas and/or complex robots. (I'm just not good at these!)
- Intensive fighting/action scenes with equally intensive detail. (My skills aren't here yet!)
- Complex furries/anthro characters. (Like if your wolfsona or dragonsona has more things going on than just "they're a hybrid.")
- Complex monster characters. (My skills aren't at this level yet!)
- Gore and/or intense body horror. (I'm not Junji Ito, so please don't ask!)
- Abusive pieces, including pieces that have elements of rpe, non-con, or otherwise.
- Anything racist, homophobic, and/or transphobic.
- Anything NFT-based and/or pro-crypto. Period. (I do not support nor condone NFT requests, nor do I support crypto, so I will not accept art commission requests that showcase pro-NFT/crypto agendas. DO NOT REQUEST ART FROM ME IF YOU WANT THIS.)In commissioning work from me, you agree that I retain any and all rights to sharing the artwork as my own work & placing the artwork in my art portfolio!
You also agree to NOT crop out my watermark/artist's signature from the final work piece when you share it to social media! This ensures against any potential artwork theft, & removing my signature will result in you being BLOCKED and REPORTED on whatever site this occurs on, AND I will pursue legal action if this continues past this point!
(This does not apply to using the art as an icon, which is its own commission tier & add-on to other tiers! If you are purely interested in commissioning an icon from me, please choose to order one from that specific tier ONLY.)There will be add-ons available for each commission tier! I will be updating my social media accounts (Twitter & Instagram primarily) with commission progress, so please consider following me on there and turning on notifications so you're aware of when I have commissions open or closed at any point in time!Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for commissioning me!
